　　1. Before touching the tempered furnace ceramic rollers, please clean your hands first. If your hands are stained with oil or dust, handling them will contaminate the rollers and increase the cleaning difficulty. (It is recommended to wear disposable latex gloves to better protect your hands and the rollers) Use a fiber towel (car wash towel, non-shedding) and pure water to wipe the ceramic rollers, cleaning the dust on the rollers.

　　2. If there are attachments on the rollers that cannot be wiped off, touch them to feel if there are any bumps. If it is a raised substance, use a scouring pad (dishwashing cloth) with pure water and gently wipe back and forth. Note ⚠️: Do not dry wipe or polish during cleaning; you need to lightly polish while spraying water. Because the scouring pad material is softer than sandpaper, it will not scratch the ceramic rollers and has a good effect of removing foreign objects. After cleaning, touch it again. If there is still a raised feeling on the roller, you can use sandpaper to polish it at this time. The sandpaper material is diamond (diamond Mohs hardness: 10, fused quartz Mohs hardness: 7), which will wear the roller surface. It is recommended to use 800-2000 grit sandpaper for polishing. The polishing method is still wet polishing, polishing while spraying water. Water not only plays a lubricating and protective role, but the ground particles will be carried away with the water. If the attachment is granular, you can directly use 2000 grit sandpaper; if the attachment is larger, you can first use 800 grit sandpaper to clean it, and then use 2000 grit sandpaper to lightly polish and repair surface scratches. When using sandpaper, you can use a sandpaper backing pad under the sandpaper. The sponge on the backing pad has a buffering effect, cleaning while reducing scratches on the roller surface.

　　3. If there are stains on the roller surface that cannot be wiped off and there is no unevenness when touched by hand, you can use an eraser to wipe them. If the eraser can reduce the stains but not completely, you can wipe the stains with an eraser dipped in alcohol liquid, and then clean it with pure water. Before installing the ceramic rollers into the furnace, ensure that the rollers are dry. If they are wet, you can use a hair dryer to dry them. Note: Cleaning and polishing of ceramic rollers must be carried out outside the tempering furnace and cannot be cleaned and polished inside the tempering furnace. If polishing is done inside the furnace, the dust will fall into the furnace, and the air circulation after heating will bring the dust back to the rollers, requiring a large amount of glass dragging furnace to reduce the dust in the furnace, increasing the cost and affecting production!

　　The maintenance of the tempering furnace includes heating elements, insulators, insulation layers, thermocouples, element protective covers, etc. Cleaning inside the glass heating section furnace is very important, especially for tempering furnaces with refractory fiber lining, because the dust from the fiber lining will fall on the roller surface (fused quartz has a certain viscosity and electrostatic adsorption force at high temperatures), causing marks on the bottom surface of the glass. If the insulation material is found to be damaged, use a vacuum cleaner to remove the loose dust from the damaged area, and then re-brush with silicone sol to harden the surface of the insulation material. Thoroughly clean the dust inside the furnace with a vacuum cleaner, including the dust hidden under the lower furnace body thermocouple. If the dust removal is not thorough, the dust will be blown away and redeposited on the rollers and glass when the air flows inside the furnace after heating.

　　A rough roller surface will affect the contact surface between the glass and the roller and may also cause defects. Damage or loose fitting of the steel casing is also an important factor affecting the normal operation of the roller. To avoid this, it must be ensured that the furnace cannot be opened under high temperature conditions, exposing the roller steel casing to high temperatures.
