Convection tempering furnace manufacturers believe that with the maturity of variable frequency technology and the widespread application of variable frequency drives, under the current situation of increasingly tense energy, using motor variable frequency speed regulation technology to control the air volume of the fan and adjusting the air volume by adjusting the motor speed has replaced the traditional method of constant-speed operation of the fan and adjusting the air volume through louvers. The energy-saving renovation of tempering furnace fans using variable frequency drives uses the variable frequency drive in conjunction with the host computer's fan air volume optimization industrial control function to set different function codes for different types of products, thereby meeting the requirements of different types of glass production processes. Under the control of the PLC, the variable frequency drive changes the frequency as needed, allowing the fan to operate in a suitable energy-saving state.
Convection tempering furnace manufacturers believe that when the glass is in the heating stage, the fan is in standby, and the fan outlet damper is closed. The PLC outputs an approximately 7.2 mA analog signal to the variable frequency drive, and the corresponding output frequency of the variable frequency drive is 10 Hz, and the fan is in standby. In the standby state, the fan is kept running at a low speed so that when quenching is needed, the fan can quickly accelerate to the required speed.
Convection tempering furnace manufacturers believe that 30 seconds before the softened glass is about to be sent to the blowing and quenching area, the PLC is set to output the corresponding analog value to the variable frequency drive according to the frequency of the host computer, causing the fan to accelerate to the set quenching speed. In this stage, the fan speed can accelerate from the standby state to 80%-100% of the rated speed. After the heated high-temperature glass is quickly transported to the blowing and quenching area, the damper is quickly opened, and a strong airflow passes through the air duct into the damper, evenly blowing on the upper and lower surfaces of the glass, causing the glass to be quickly quenched and reach the purpose of tempering.
Convection tempering furnace manufacturers believe that in the quenching stage, the required air volume, that is, the fan speed, is different depending on the thickness of the glass. Except for some glass with a thickness of less than 4.3 mm, the fan generally runs below 85% of the rated frequency. This equipment can meet the requirements of most glass quenching processes. Since the fan speed is 85% of the rated speed, its output shaft power is 61% of the rated power. In the quenching process, compared with adjusting the air volume with louvers, the energy-saving effect is obvious.
