Tempering furnaces are mainly used for producing tempered glass. As we all know, accidents can happen during the operation of any mechanical equipment, so extra care is needed. Today, we will briefly introduce some precautions for operating a tempering furnace.
I. Personal Safety Precautions
1. When the equipment is working, the air vents will automatically rise and fall. Do not insert arms or metal objects into the air vents, otherwise, serious personal injury and equipment accidents may occur.
2. When the fan is working, do not stand at the fan inlet, otherwise, serious injury may occur if the air valve suddenly opens.
3. Except for the switch handles, non-maintenance personnel should not touch other parts inside the control cabinet, otherwise, electric shock may occur.
4. Before cutting off the main power supply of the electric heating, do not operate or repair on the top or bottom of the furnace, otherwise, serious electric shock may occur.
5. During emergency unloading, operators should stay away from the output end of the output table, otherwise, burns may occur.
6. Workers operating the loading and unloading process should receive corresponding operational training; otherwise, glass cuts may occur.
7. Non-professional maintenance personnel should not disassemble or adjust mechanical and electrical equipment, otherwise, it may lead to an expansion of the fault or cause equipment damage and personal injury.
8. When welding on the tempering furnace equipment, the computer power supply, module power supply, and control power supply must be turned off, and the welding machine ground wire must be directly connected to the welded part, otherwise, the computer system may be burned out and cause a wire fire.
9. When the equipment is operating, do not connect other electrical equipment such as electric fans, electric drills, hand grinders, etc., to the control system power supply, otherwise, interference or other control system failures may occur, causing production losses.
10. Effective fire extinguishers must be equipped near the tempering furnace control cabinet to prevent electrical fires, otherwise, serious economic losses may occur.
II. Special Operating Precautions for Tempering Furnaces
1. When the temperature inside the tempering furnace is higher than 300℃, unless in an emergency, do not lift the furnace body to accelerate cooling, otherwise, the furnace body may deform.
2. During the heating process, if glass explosion in furnace, glass gets stuck, control system malfunction, or emergency situations where the cause of the malfunction cannot be determined, the following emergency measures should be taken: Press the inferior barrier switch button, press the early unloading button, observe the glass discharge situation, and after the glass is discharged from the furnace body, calmly find the cause of the fault and handle the follow-up work.
3. If, under the above circumstances, the glass cannot be completely discharged, the electric heating must be stopped immediately, and if necessary, the furnace body should be lifted by 100mm, and the glass should be manually removed with a hook, etc. (Note: Do not damage the quartz roller track).
